Faux Crocodiles (2023)

Projection mapped object

Faux Crocodiles juxtaposes nature with its synthetic replica. Footage of a bask of wild crocodiles projects onto a faux crocodile purse, drawing attention to the environmental and ethical concerns linked with the pursuit of fast-fashion.

Appropriately set in a corner storefront at FEED Media Art Center in Erie, PA, this site-specific installation encourages viewers to reconsider their relationship with consumerist culture and urges the prioritization of sustainable, ethical production over the allure of disposable trends.
